For the past month, I had been getting a "Out Of Memory" message whenever I tried to download an app from the App Catalog. I just now tried again on the unlikely hope that I it had been fixed.

By Golly I believe they fixed it! I was able to download several new apps with no problem. I had been expecting this to be fixed with the mythical 1.2, but I guess it was an App Catalog problem.

Anyone else had the problem? Anyone else make it work now?

Whoops! I guess it was a 1.2 problem, because I just noticed that 1.2 is available. I ran my Update program and there it was. But for whatever reason, I am now able to download apps.

I'm still getting the error Sorry, Not Enough Memory.  I don't have any homebrew apps downloaded, just stuff from the app catalog.  I have 7 gigs left.  I was hoping that the new update would fix this problem.   They NEED to hurry up and fix for this problem.  It sucks that they are going to be releasing paid apps, but I won't have enough memory to download any of them.

I posted this on another thread, but I will post it again here. There is a workaround for those of you with root access and a little knowledge:

http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Solution_to_App_Catalog_Installation_Limit

It also explains why this happens, was kind of a good on PALM's part to use a partition such as /var .  Hopefully they will resolve it in an update for those not brave/experienced enough for this fix.

I have no idea what to do.  Since a couple of days ago I cannot upload any apps.  Out of memory just happened one morning with no new apps installled.  I deleted almost all of my apps and still no luck.  I am very frustrated and tried to do the work around, but I have not been able to make that work.  Not smart enough I think.

According to Palm the next update, which should be released soon, should fix the app limit problem...and Go Bears as well.(hopefully next year).
