Hey, I have a suggestion...

BUT first let me commend you guys on a job well done. This forum is very simple and not straining to the eye when looking for things(Like on ppcgeeks.com or sprintusers.com). Though those are some good forums with useful information, they are ALL OVER THE PLACE!

This forum is quite simple, organized and has everything where you can find it...SMF has its ways I guess...

I just dont prefer that typical sort of forum.

NOW, on to the suggestion. I was a vigorously active user on a forum called heliocity.net (www.heliocity.net)
and they had something that was quite neat.

News stories about the Helio devices and the company on the very first page. It made visiting the site more exciting and always gave you something to look forward to with updates and news on the devices.

Not to mention you could eliminate the need of posting new threads with news that will just fill up and make it hard to look through when you have to dig through peoples comments. The news is there and at the same time you can choose to comment on it, aside from the forum.

I think it would be extravagant if that could be added to this site as I am already very fond of palmpreforum.org already and get on everyday now and I dont even own a Pre yet.

check out www.heliocity.net to see exactly what it is im talking about.

Just a suggestion.  Shocked

Separate suggestion...

When logged on you can see the so-called "online" users....it also says active within the last 300 minutes... Lips Sealed

well...I think  it would be better for the forum if maybe it showed the users active in the last 10 or even 15 minutes. Could make it a lot easier to know when to write a topic aimed at a specific person.

I just think it makes it more accurate and easier to find who really is online. Because according to that, there are 120 active every minute. But that seems unlikely. Seeing the cloud of names also kind of makes it intimidating to even start looking to see if somebody is on. Undecided

sorry for the double post, but they are separate suggestions. angel

I agree about the online users. I don't really care if they were on hours ago, it'd be nice to see the current active users.

I concur.

If you have a complaint about the Pre, such as a lack of a feature or a feature that doesn't work well, complaining about it here isn't going to fix it.  Why not send your suggestion to Palm?  That's how the Pre will evolve from a great phone into an even greater phone.  Just click here.

http://www.palmpreforum.org/announcements-b26/is-there-a-mobile-version-of-this-site/

There are two. The second one is better in my opinion

Also if you just go to the site it will be a little optimized for the pre. It will look funny but it works.
