how do you save the ringtones you downloaded with your existing ringtones

I have downloaded some ringtones to my pre and there is no option to save the file to ringtones with the other ringtones that are already programmed on the phone. Am I missing an app. that will do this for me. Every phone I have ever owned gave me the option to save the ringtone....Am I missing something here. Please help...have been trying to figure this out for almost a week now.

I am having the same issue? I have had ringtones sent by text message and the phone can play them but can not figure out how to move them to the ringtones or music part of the Pre???
Any ideas anyone? Huh?

Hook your phone up to your computer and use Explorer to move the ring tones into the ringtone folder. I even move songs into the ringtone folder and can use them for right tones.

Thanks, yes I figured out that I had to hook up to the computer with the USB and move the music files from the message folder to the ringtone folder manually then they work fine. It is easy but just a pain to have to hook up with the USB each time, would like to do it wireless or just on the phone.....
