If you are using iTunes:
1. open itunes
2. hookup your Pre with the USB cable to your PC
3. select "media synch" when it pops up in your Pre
4. iTunes will autosynch your itune and also your "My Picture" folder. In itunes, you can click on the Palm Pre storage and details of your Pre will show and you can check the tabs to select what folders you want to synch.
5. iTunes will tell you if it completed the synch, and you can go to Windows Explorer and right click on the removable drive (Pre drive), and "eject" the Pre, then disconnect the USB cable.

If you do not have iTunes:
1. Open Windows Explorer, go to tools/folder options, view Tab, and select "show all hidden files"
2. hookup your Pre with the USB cable to your PC
3. select "USB drive" when it pops up in your Pre
4. copy your music folder to the root.  Or if you wil use itunes in the future, make a folder "ipod_control/music". This is where itunes keeps your music.
5. right click on the removable drive representing your Pre, and "eject" the Pre, then disconnect the USB cable.

...have fun!

Actually the latest itunes does not sync to the pre. I would recommend taking a look at the link below.
