I am aware that phones are tested from at least 6 foot drop before mass marketing. That is why I am so supprised that when mine fell a foot or two onto a table and broke the touch screen. I consider this a manufacture defect. It is not the front glass that is broken but the internal contact plate, a crack in it is very noticable. Unfortunatly my great sales rep (and I mean it too) told me that since it looks like physical damage, if they were to send it to the warehouse, the store would be charged for the new phone. Other than the crack under the glass, there isnt a scratch on the phone. The sales rep suggested to call the cancelation hotline for Sprint and threaten to cancel my plan (only a week old plan) if i didnt recieve a new phone. If that didnt work, he suggested just doing the insurance claim. What do you guys suggest?
