Wow I really don't know where to begin. How many of you are having issues with your Touchstone charger? This is a list of what I've already encountered in the 48 hours of owning this accessory.

1. Pre still thinks it begin charged when recoved from the TS. Even after 30 min being removed from the TS only the time is being displayed on the face and when I tap out of it I can see the 'charging' icon on the top right. Only fix so far is to do a reboot of my Pre.

2. Woke up this morning to a completely dead Pre. I have no idea what happened. I had to disconnect the USB from my puck and plug in the Pre to revive it. Frustrating.

3. When charging, the 'now charging' (whatever that display is) will show at the very bottom of my Pre and clear and then reappear OVER and OVER again, each time this happens the default Pre sound happens to kindly remind you that it's charging. VERY annoying. The only way I got around this to move the slider to 'silent' mode. In the meantime I'm still stuck with the 'now charging' flashing on and off.

Any of you experience these issues? This thing is really annoying me! I really love the concept but its soooooo buggy! HELP!  Sad

Is the touchstone plugged into your computer?

It does not work when plugged into your computer.  You can only use it plugged into the wall.

also i know your last problem was the touchstone not doing anything but you did in fact have it plugged into your computer.  Maybe you broke it from having it plugged into the computer.  Maybe the power in your room is fluctuating try it somewhere else.  Also you may have messed up your phone from trying to charge it from you computer before.  Try removing the battery.

TS isn't connected to the computer. As far as I can tell the power supply is good. This is really frustrating.

My TS does this every once and a while - I just remove the Pre and replace it on the TS again and that always works.  I wouldn't recommend letting it flash on and off charge all night.

FYI -

I took my Pre to my Sprint store where they had a working TS on display. After explaining to the tech what was going on I placed my Pre on the TS display and it would fail to charge, pretty much everything I already mentioned. We messed around and finally found out my battery was defective. Why this makes any difference I have no idea. Anyhoo, they swapped out my battery and now it works like a champ on my TS.

So please keep this in mind should you future TS owners ever come across this issue.

Peace!

There is a patch via webOS quick install to remove that sound when charging.  I always wondered why you would want to do this, and now i know why...

This is a BIG discussion in a German forum right now. A lot of people are complaining, and apparently Palm knows about a hardware problem. What you could try: put a few layers of paper (e.g. fold a normal paper 2 times = 4 layers) between the Pre and the touchstone. 100% of our people here had success with that, it's probably a quite poor build quality inside.
