So it looks really nice this morning except those spots. Everything else is perfect but when I turn it on it looks like grease prints somehow. Looks like I'll be redoing the front tonight with the spare one they send.

I'm sure this isn't the products fault either though... Knowing me it's something I probably did :p

Yeah those haze spot evaporate, but I have half a finger print trapped under mine.  Its only visible in certain light.  My own stupid fault.

If you have a complaint about the Pre, such as a lack of a feature or a feature that doesn't work well, complaining about it here isn't going to fix it.  Why not send your suggestion to Palm?  That's how the Pre will evolve from a great phone into an even greater phone.  Just click here.

Just finished putting the back skin on my pre. Managed to get it on with no overlapping in either of the two trouble areas. I saw that it started to overlap but I just pulled it back a hair then put pressure on it with the palm of my hand and it went on nice.

I just got my Phantom Skinz yesterday and installed front only last night. As of this morning it looks and feels great. It was pretty easy to install too. No bubbles and most of the moisture behind the skin is already evaporated. For those of you who haven't put yours on yet....make sure your fingers are clean and they stay wet for the entire install. Getting water trapped between the skin and the screen will actually help slide the skin into place and decrease your chances of getting your prints on the glue (it also helps getting the bubbles out). That tiny amount of water on the screen shouldn't hurt anything. Also, before putting the skin into the warm water I trimmed about 2mm off the ears while still on the backing paper and had no overlapping issues after install. Great product and great price!

10 to 12 inches.

I'm getting my phone replaced this weekend.  Maybe I'll try the unprotected drop with the new one....

wow... that's like 30 cm.

2mm off total, or 2mm each?

I put this on the other night - I pre-trimmed the first skin as indicated in the photo - and guess what?  It turned out to be too short now  Angry

Oh well, the second one I just put on and then saw what needed to be trimmed and then used a pair of sharp scissors to do the deed.  Relatively perfect fit even without trimming.

Anyhow, I wanted to chime in that the feel of the screen is much nicer than the invisible shield that I used to have on my old Instinct.  I'm becoming a huge fan of the Phantom Skinz  Cool

My overall assessment is thus:

- PS is a LOT more difficult to install than IS
- PS is more invisible than IS
- PS has a MUCH better feel
- PS is cheaper
- PS is poorly cut... or at least inconsistently cut.  Some of us have overlapping issues, others don't.
- The design of the Palm doesn't help much
- Once the PS is there, it really is Phantom... it's easy to forget it's even there.
- The PS adheres better... and trust me on this one; I've had to peel one off and it wasn't fun or easy.

I'd have to honestly say that the PS is a little more elbow grease than the IS, but it beats the IS hands down.

I just tried it again and noticed that it says "Discount code invalid" on the top of the screen.
