I have heard people complain about the speaker volume.  Personally, I rarely use the speaker phone, and when I do, it is through a bluetooth setup in my car the goes through the radio and into the car speakers, so it isnt an issue for me. That is the only solution I can offer you myself, maybe someone else on here has some input though.

My speakerphone isn't loud either.  I can only use it in a quiet room.  What's odd is when I dial a number, it rings and I select speakerphone, for a second the ring sound is very loud and then goes to the normal sound level.  Would be nice if the speakerphone stayed loud.  I've noticed some phones have much louder speakers and wonder why the Pre doesn't.

Yeah it's weird, when I listen to music or watch tv it's loud enough but when I'm on a call with someone it's not very loud.
