mossberg can suckit. while he has to say positive things about the pre to not look like a complete idiot, he once again shills for apple throughout the review. it's sickening.

I agree with the mossberg statement. Two things he says dont really make sence; first,

Quote
In fact, during my testing, one of my downloads from the App Catalog caused my Pre to crash disastrously -- all my email, contacts and other data were wiped out, and the phone was unable to connect to the Sprint network or Wi-Fi.......  The good news is that the Pre's impressive backup system allowed me to quickly and easily get back almost all my data and to restore the phone's connectivity.

Did he use his computer? you know cause he couldn't connect or use wi-fi..........
And the other,

Quote
There are several smaller problems, too. There's no easy way to get to the top of a long list or to quickly delete a large group of emails, no keyboard shortcuts, no voice control and no Facebook app.

uhhhh flicking isnt fast enough for you?  Isn't there speed dials linked to the 1-0 respectively?  Can't you just slide an e-mail to the right to delete it?  Also no facebook app?!?  wtf, is he even using the pre?!?

I could be wrong on any of these statements only cause I dont have a pre, yet.

Thanks for putting it all into one post!

I don't know, I think Mossberg's review is quite fair in the end, although he seems to be slightly biased. He shouldn't put so much personal opinion into his reviews!
About his backup: I guess he just hard to restart the phone for a connection? Weird though. But the rest... yeah, he obviously didn't really get used to the Pre or didn't explore it in detail!

I just love the Engadget review, they are the best!

The keyboard and app store are going to be the two deal breakers for me.  I have larger hands/ fingers, so the keyboard concerns me.  Also, I'm a power user,  so I like using my cell phones for just about anything it can possibly do.  I'm still on the fence.  If this phone was on Verizon right now, I'd do it.

One thing I don't understand is that some reviewers are saying the battery life is poor, when it's on par with most phones in it's class.

Voltronex, in case you are wondering, I just fixed the Engadget link real quick. It was just pointing to the home page.
