Hi.  I am having difficulty getting apps on my palm pre.  I am using the guide found in the Ringtones, Notifications and Sounds section on this forum in the thread:  "Changing your SMS notification sound (Updated 7/29)".

I have downloaded the WebOSquickinstall and WebOS doctor, but neither seem to recognize my palm.  I have restarted my computer, reinstalled WebOS Doctor from another source.... I don't get it.  My computer reads and recognizes my pre.  Any ideas?  Any other routes of doing this?  The Palm app store is great but come on.

Thanks in advance for any advice on this matter!  If I have left any vital information out please say so and I will provide it asap.  Thanks again!

Is your Pre in 'charge only' mode? It needs to be when using the QuickInstall.

If that is not the problem, try to re-install NovaCom by going FILE->OPTIONS->Attempt Novacom (re)Installation.
