Just like the title says we already know a new update isn't far away, they are adding video recording we know this for sure. What else would you like to see added, or think will be added.

Please check the list to see if yours is on here first.

The List:
1) Integrate the "Clock" app into the Pre better rather than it just being an app.

2) SMS ringtones

3)Video recording

4)would LOVE to see Bluetooth OBEX file transfer I was so upset when I found out the Pre only supports audio devices for Bluetooth.

5) Visual Voice Mail... I hate having to dial Sprint to listen to voicemail.

6) Voice activation... Call Dad rmobile! Right from my bluetooth headset.

7) Live Search... the other day I needed a backflow preventer for my yard, I hit live search on my Instinct, said plumbing supplies and in seconds had a list of places.  Called one, they had what I needed, and simply tell my Instinct to navigate to it!

8) Software keyboard in Landscape mode.  Only one day old and its annoying having to twist the phone, open the keyboard and type, so much nicer to just provide a soft keyboard!

9) Customize contacts, choose who to import, and detect names for merging contacts. (i dont have the phone, but this seems to be a problem)

10) add Flash, we really need it for games, and the web.

11) Integrate hotmail with synergy if possible.

12) Don't make the app launcher button on the quick launch bar mandatory, since it's easier to bring up the full applications launcher, then the quick one, so we are not going to open the quick one, then use it to open the full one. ( i dont have the phone, but that's what it seems like, correct me if i am wrong, but it should at the verry least be optional.

14)  like someone posted on these forums, make it so i can say, from 9-3pm , when i am at this gps location, turn my phone on silence, so when im at school it dosent make any noise. When my gps location is changing , have it on full blast, cause if im in a car with my phone, odds are i'm awake, listening to music, so i need a loud ringer. Not sure if that makes since to everyone, but try rereading it.

15) Better battery management

16) 2 things in the same category

a)customizable ring tone

b)vibration

17)  3 things in the same category

a) Central settings (to control everything)

b) More options, and control over the phone, like (read 17 c)

c) Ability to have certain features on when charging , and automaticly off when not charging, like blue-tooth, (useful if you have speekers next to your charger, that you use with the phone)

18. Favorite Contacts - Like on the iPhone and Instinct. I have a group of 5-6 people that I call above all else and I like having a option from the phone screen to pull them up.

19) Bookmark Picture editing - When I set a bookmark, it only uses a snapshot of top right hand corner of the screen. I want to be able to load my own or save a picture from the site. This can be done.

20)Auto-Correct Spell Checker - the iPhone really did great with texting

21) A group option for contacts and text messages. (like work, school, soccer, hockey)

22) Yahoo IM integration.

23)  The ability to change the name of pictures

24) The ability to rotate pictures.

25) Make it so you can open more than one messaging app. I often have multiple conversations going...

26)Removal of Nascar App (at least let me HIDE it)

27)A few more gestures... Undo. If you slide down on the gesture bar after throwing an app up and closing it, it will re-open it.

28)If you hold down on the side of the browser, it creates a scroll bar. That would be great.

29)Fix the annoying text notification while talking on the phone!

30)A Yearly repeat for a set day of a week. For example: yearly on the third friday of _________

+1 to all of that!

I would say the best thing to hope for if they do it fairly soon would be the SMS tones.

I don't see video recording until maybe 1.2 or later, but if I'm wrong I'll be VERY happy!

Yes SMS ringtone options. Really want that.

And I'm guessing what TIM is saying about the clock. I want that clock app to be open all the time  when I place it on the most awesome touchstone that is seemingly more limited than the Pre. Not alway lit but when I hit the screen I see that clock.

I believe you can already do that.

Hold down orange... then touch the screen. Try it out for yourself. You dont have to have your hand over the text either.

As stated:

Customizable SMS tone (I had a beat i clipped to 5 seconds on my instinct that was way better).

A more customizable options in general, so the pre feels really like you own.

A way to have google maps integrate with sprint navigation. (sort of like the live search).

Thats about all i can think of. I love the WEB BROWSER on this phone, its awesome and fast.

The first two days with my Pre have been great. I've had no problems with hardware or software, however as with any new device there are always ups and downs.

I love they was it groups SMS and chat together however this is an area where I was most disappointed. The lack of a customizable ring tone is a real pain, and to make matters worse the phone does not vibrate either. I would also like to see the option of having the little gesture orb pulse when you have a new message (and the ability to choose what types of message get this response).

This is a prime example of the overall negative surprise I have with the Pre. The phone works very well but there isn't a lot of settings that you can change. In fact the phone lacks a centralized "Settings" menu.

I would simply like to be able to manipulate things the phone is already able to do. For example I would like to have it turn on blue tooth automatically when it is on the touch stone for paring with wireless speakers then turn it off when it is removed to save battery.

I would also like to remove the launcher from the quick launch bar. There is a gesture that does this function so why waste a button space with it?

Just a few things that I would like to see and luckily the are all software issues. I am sure that other people have things they would like to see and I am interested to see what others have in mind. If there are workarounds for the things I have listed please let me know.

I also should say that I absolutely love this phone. It is so intuitive and on most occasions works with almost no effort.

Ending this post on a high note I will say that I was very impressed in how the phone acts when plugged into a computer. Giving you the three options of media sync, storage or charge is great and works very well. It is also easy and trouble free to switch between them without having to eject the phone.

My wish list is:

1) Visual Voice Mail... I hate having to dial Sprint to listen to voicemail.
2) Voice activation... Call Dad rmobile! Right from my bluetooth headset.
3) Live Search... the other day I needed a backflow preventer for my yard, I hit live search on my Instinct, said plumbing supplies and in seconds had a list of places.  Called one, they had what I needed, and simply tell my Instinct to navigate to it!
4) Software keyboard in Landscape mode.  Only one day old and its annoying having to twist the phone, open the keyboard and type, so much nicer to just provide a soft keyboard!

My two cents...

how do we know video is coming?

do you have a link?

thank you.

edit:  25: The ability to forward a text message, apparently it can't be done, not a 100% sure. ( like i said i don't have the phone, so i can't be sure, but that has been said in a different topic.) Can anyone confirm?
