Apparently it only took them 'just shy of two and a half hours' to fix the sync. I really don't think it was even a major factor in the delay. It was most likely a factor, but it wasn't the factor. There is something bigger that kept it from being released. They could have fixed the sync, released the update, worked on whatever is causing the delay(for the weeks it has taken)and then released another update. It would have pleased the update addicts by giving them not one, but two updates within a month.
Keep in mind, Adobe Mobile Flash 10 will be released(in Beta) to developers in under two weeks at the Max Conference. Maybe Palm got a 'sneak peak' at it and has implemented it into the new update...yeah...slim chance, but a guy can dream, can't he?
You have to wonder too how accidental the "leak" of 1.2 actually was. I saw that some of the guys over at palmpreforum already started fixing things like, "MyTether" (which I am sure Palm/Sprint really do not want to work all that well). Maybe they want to do some "breaking" of their own. Not saying I really believe this, but I like starting conversation/controversy.
As much as I want the update, I am patient. I want them to get it right and pack as many features/fixes in it as they can, cause who knows how long before the next update is released, when is the next iTunes due out?

wouldn't palm want my tether? as it doesn't seem to hurt them. although probably sprint put them up to the task....
