In the past few days my wife an I have noticed there is no noise when we "throw away" pages.

where is my whooshing noise, and how can I get it back?  (it amused me)

Or make sure your ringer switch in on....

Have you tried to listen for it with headphones on?

Yeah, when you hit the volume buttons, do you see the speaker icon show up?

just turn off the phone and turn it back on.  I noticed sometimes this happens when you update an app and it goes away when you restart.

go to sounds and ringtones turn your system sounds back on.
