So, I like the idea of the TouchStone charger (very much) and plan on getting one friday.  I have also noticed though, that the Palm Pre's stock battery doesn't really last that long.  I see all these extended batteries that can get quite fat...my question is, I know the Touchstone needs a different backing on the phone to work (the one it comes with).  Are there any extended batteries that will work with this backing and allow me to use the touchstone charger AND have a better battery...or am I really asking too much?

The only extended battery that's the same size as the original is the one below.

The only other extended battery I can find is larger than the original bettery, therefore it comes with an extended back for the phone and is not touchstone compatible.

Well your not quite exactly right. I have successfully got my seidio 2600 extended back to work with my touchstone. I have put together a website on ordering this kind of stuff.
