I have searched the site and haven't found an answer to my issue.  I recently purchased the pre and so far so go, but there is one thing I can't figure out.  I can't get my pre to make any alert sounds when I get a text message.  I have gone into my meesageing area and went into the preferences and set the aler to ringtone and picked one I liked.  But when I get a message no sounds come from the pre, what am I doing wrong?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Nope, it's offical I am the dumbest person on the forum!  Minutes after posting my question I discovered the toggle switch and wouldn't you know it, the tones worked!!  Sorry to be such a dumba**.
