As a previous Centro user, I could do a search on, let's say "Dr. Smith" to see when I saw him last and it would search Contacts, Memo's, Tasks and Calendar functions and would display anywhere that had "Dr. Smith" listed.

I have done searches, but it seems to only look at Contacts.  Has anyone figured out how to search the Calendar?

Unfortunately there's no way to search the calendar for now. When you start typing at the home screen it will search you apps and contacts. To search for emails you have to open the email app and then start searching, but even then it wont search the body of the email, it'll only search the subjects and sender.

Thanks H2O!  It wasn't the answer I wanted to hear  Cry, but I want to thank you for answering it so quickly. Grin

Hopefully, in a future release that may be an enhancement.  I can't believe more people haven't needed that function, just to search for past meetings at work!   Smiley

Download Google Calendar Search from the App Store.  It's not a perfect solution cause you have to open a new app, but it works.

WOW - had downloaded that app but not tried - when saw this topic tested it out - works fast & once you save Google acct info do not have to re-enter.  See using this regularly!

I, also, am VERY upset that there is no calendar search function in the Pre. I've been a Palm user for more than 10 years and those machines all had calendar -- actually true UNIVERSAL -- search.   Sad

So I want to download the Google Calendar Search, as suggested by another user. I can't find it in the App Store.

PUH-LEASE -- will someone tell me exactly what app to get for my Palm so I can do text searches in my Calendar, such as the ability to find all references to Dr. Jones
